This training course is the official Software Engineering Institute (SEI) training "Introduction to the Capability Maturity Model Integration Version 1.3".
This three-day course introduces system and software engineering managers and practitioners, appraisal team members, and the engineering process group (e.g. SEPG, EPG) members to CMMI® fundamental concepts. CMMI models are tools that help organization improve their ability to develop and maintain quality products and services.
The course is composed of lectures and class exercises with ample opportunity for participant questions and discussions. After attending the course, participants will be able to describe the components of CMMI models and their relationships, discuss the process areas in CMMI models, and locate relevant information in the model.
This course fulfils a prerequisite requirement for any course requiring an official SEI Introductory CMMI course.
This training is provided by SEI authorized CMMI Instructors. The participants receive an official certificate on successful completion of the training course.
CMMI® Book and Standard SEI Training Material are used extensively to teach all aspects of CMMI Implementation.
The names of the participants are registered with SEI as "Official Intro to CMMI Participant". This makes the participants eligible for participating in Official CMMI Assessments like SCAMPI A, B and C.
